Sam Desalu is the Co-Founder of Investwise Africa, a social entrepreneur, and philanthropist who has dedicated his life to making a positive impact in the world. As the founder of Desalu Naturals, he established a thriving wellness brand that promotes healthy living through natural ingredients and sustainable practices. He is also the founder of Desalu Investments, a real estate investment group that creates affordable housing options and revitalizes communities in Kigali, Rwanda.
In addition, Sam founded the Cornerstone Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports education, healthcare, and community development initiatives in underserved areas. Through his work with Desalu Investments and the Cornerstone Foundation, he has demonstrated a commitment to social responsibility and economic empowerment, making him a true leader and an inspiration to others.
CANDICE VERNON

Entrepeneur, Real Estate Investor, Philanthropist
Candice Vernon is a real estate investor, philanthropist, and award-winning writer/director. She is the Co-Founder of Investwise Africa. Candice's directing career took off with her short film, MAKE AMERICA GREAT? as seen in The Hollywood Reporter, and was hand-picked by Stevie Wonder to direct THE DREAM STILL LIVES celebrating the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, featuring The Obama's, Common, and countless other entertainment luminaries.
Born in Jamaica to pan-Africanist parents and raised in the USA and Germany, Candice's unique outlook on life has sparked her passion for storytelling and travel on the African continent. She is known for her work in comedy and documentary content with high-profile celebrities i.e Regina King, and has directed for brands such as NBA2K, Vaseline, and Hulu. Candice currently resides in Los Angeles and Accra, Ghana, where she’s been investing in crude oil since 2021, with investment properties In Accra and the Eastern Region of Ghana, and building The Candice Vernon Institute of Creative Arts & Technology and more.
OLOWO-N'DJO TCHALA

Olowo-n’djo Tchala brings a wealth of knowledge in agriculture, fair trade practices, and logistics/operations to Investwise Africa. He is the founder and CEO of Alaffia, a clean and fair-trade beauty company. Born and raised in Togo, West Africa, he learned the importance of sustainability at a young age and was inspired by his mother to demonstrate kindness and generosity to others. Founded in 2003, for nearly two decades Alaffia’s mission has been to alleviate poverty and advance gender equality through the fair trade of indigenous African resources such as unrefined shea butter, African black soap, coconut oil and neem extract. Tchala has been able to directly impact the lives of over 250,000 individuals in West Africa. Proceeds from the sale of Alaffia’s award-winning clean and fair trade beauty and grooming products are returned to communities in West Africa to fund community empowerment and gender equality initiatives, in the areas of maternal health care, education such as building eighteen schools, reforestation and regenerative agriculture, donating bicycles to Togolese students, and so much more.
In recognition of Olowo-n’djo’s leadership in developing Alaffia’s women-centered social enterprise model, he was invited to the White House in 2019 to discuss the Women’s Global Development and Prosperity Initiative. Olowo-n’djo was also appointed by U.S. Trade Representative, Robert Lighthizer, to serve a four-year term as a member of the U.S. Trade Advisory Committee on Africa (TACA).
DEEPA JANHA

Deepa Janha is a highly esteemed Senior Advisor at Investwise Africa, bringing extensive experience in private equity real estate to the company. With an MBA from Northeastern University and a bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, she possesses a strong educational foundation. Furthermore, her expertise is bolstered by an AMDP (Advanced Management & Development- Real Estate Development) certificate from Harvard University. Previously, Ms. Janha served as the Vice President of Asset Management at CenterCal Properties, where she played a crucial role in overseeing asset performance. She has also held senior positions at Hidden Park Advisors and AEW Capital Management. Her exceptional understanding of various asset classes on both the east and west coasts, coupled with her deep knowledge of the real estate industry refined through multiple economic cycles, makes her an invaluable addition to Investwise Africa's expanding investment portfolio in Africa.

MR. HARRY CAMPBELL

Mr. Harry Campbell is one of Investwise Africa’s Senior Advisors, with an eye for what makes a business succeed. With years in the business, Mr. Campbell is an Executive Director of STRATCON HOLDINGS LIMITED in Accra, Ghana. He is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York and has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Economics. He is a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) with the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and also a Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute (PMI). Mr. Campbell was the Lead Construction Manager for CH2M HILL Engineers, managing over fifty (50) capital improvement projects for Shell Oil Company USA.
Mr. Campbell is also the Chairman of Takoradi Steel Company and is responsible for the design – specifically to build construction of the nation’s first oil and gas logistics center in Takoradi called the Takoradi Logistics Platform, which is currently leased out to Stellar Logistics. He is also a Director of Takoradi Logistics Platform, a Partner in Consolidated Investors Partnership and an Executive Director at Stratcon Capital Limited, Stratcon Energy and Trading Limited and Torrid Global Company Limited.
